Analysis: Bloomingdale pays $3.09 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bloomingdale FPD Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.7 percent of the $1,834,783 the Bloomingdale FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.09 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bloomingdale contributed $1,389,319 to the fund, which saw a $88,787 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $448,198, or 24.4 percent, in 2018.
