Analysis: Itasca pays $4.99 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Itasca FPD #1 Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.3 percent of the $1,188,448 the Itasca FPD #1 Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.99 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Itasca contributed $990,200 to the fund, which saw a $88,445 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $198,248, or 16.7 percent, in 2018.
