NAPERVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT: Naperville Police Arrest Subject for Home Invasion

Naperville Police Department issued the following announcement on June 29.

On Sunday, June 28, 2020 at approximately 3:16 a.m., Naperville Police responded to a 911 call in the 300 block of Spring Avenue reference a report of a resident who awoke to find a male subject at the foot of her bed armed with an edged weapon. The suspect fled the home and was located a short distance away by police.

Peter W. Purduski, 18, of the 800 block of Webster Street in Naperville, was arrested and charged with one (1) count of Home Invasion, a class X Felony.

Preliminary investigation indicates the suspect entered the home through an unlocked door. The Naperville Police Department would like to remind residents of the importance of securing their homes and vehicles.

Mr. Purduski was transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing. On Monday, June 29, his bail was set at $150,000 with 10% to apply. If anyone has additional information regarding this investigation, they are encouraged to contact the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666 and ask for the Investigations Division.

The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
