Bloomingdale Park District issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.
The Bloomingdale Park Board of Commissioners has appointed Finance Director June Fergus to serve as the Interim Executive Director for the time period between Carrie Fullerton’s departure on February 18 through the start date of the new executive director.
June has held the position of Director of Finance for the Bloomingdale Park District since 2014. She began her career in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors where she gained extensive experience in the accounting field. June earned her CPA licensure in 1999.
Prior to joining the Bloomingdale Park District, she worked as an accountant for the Village of Bloomingdale. During June’s tenure with the Bloomingdale Park District, the district has earned the Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, which is awarded annually by the Government Finance Officers Association to those government units whose comprehensive annual financial report meets the award criteria.
