City of Darien Board of Fire And Police Commission met Oct. 1.

1. CALL TO ORDER
Frank Noverini called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
2. ESTABLISH A QUORUM
A quorum was established in attendance were Chairman Noverini, Secretary Armellino, Commissioner John Callan, Chief Greg Thomas, and Recording Secretary Rosemary Gonzalez
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Secretary Armellino motioned to approve the minutes of the September
3, 2019 meeting seconded by Chairman Noverini. Chief Thomas asked the committee go directly to New Business
4. CORRESPONDENCE
Secretary Armellino reviewed the correspondence.
5. OLD BUSINESS
There was no Old Business to discuss.
6. NEW BUSINESS
• Newly appointed FPC Commissioner John Callan was introduced to the committee.
• Officer Mark Bozek’s appeal – Chief Thomas reviewed with the committee Darien’s process for officer appeals.
Ofc. Bozek received a 2 day suspension for insubordination and he is appealing this decision. He has requested a hearing before the FPC board. Attorney Cary Horvath of
