City of Wheaton issued the following announcement on June 19.
The City of Wheaton was pleased to host a group of more than 70 baseball players with the Karlskoga BATS. The visitors are from Wheaton's sister city of Karlskoga, Sweden, and they are visiting the Chicago area to play in a tournament.
Among their stops in Wheaton was a visit to Wheaton City Hall and downtown Wheaton. Mayor Suess met with the group, as did the Wheaton Sister City Commission and City officials.
Karlskoga, Sweden is a community of approximately the same size as Wheaton. Wheaton and Karlskoga became sister cities in 1973.
