Warrenville Police Department issued the following announcement on Feb. 20.
On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at approximately 9:59 p.m., the Warrenville Police Department was dispatched to the 3S000 block of IL Route 59 for a report of an Armed Robbery. The victim reported that at the close of the business day, the victim was approached by a male offender holding a black handgun who demanded money from the victim. The offender is described as a male in his twenties, approximately 5’6” to 5’8” tall, wearing dark pants, a dark colored jacket with the hood up, and a black scarf across the lower half of his face. After obtaining U.S. currency from the victim, the offender fled the scene on-foot.
During the investigation of this incident, surveillance video was obtained of the possible offender running from the scene. Anyone who has information regarding this incident, or has home or business security footage of this incident is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Ken Dawson at the Warrenville Police Department at (630) 393-2131.
