BURR RIDGE COMMUNITY CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 180: DuPage Region Principals Nominate Burr Ridge Middle School Principal Bartell as Middle School Principal of the Year

Burr Ridge Community Consolidated School District 180 issued the following announcement on Feb. 1.

Burr Ridge Middle School Principal Julie Bartell is being honored as the Illinois Principal Association--DuPage Region’s Middle School Principal of the Year for 2019. Mrs. Bartell has been the principal at Burr Ridge Middle School for the past ten years and previously served as the school’s Student Support Center leader and music teacher. In all Mrs. Bartell has been an educator at Burr Ridge Middle School since 1990.

Tom Schneider, the Superintendent at Burr Ridge CCSD 180 described Principal Bartell as, “someone who truly understands that all successful educational outcomes depend upon the relationship between the educator and the student. Mrs. Bartell has initiated and established many innovative educational programs from an innovative summer school program to after school tutoring. But the heart of her success and all educators’ success is the positive relationships she develops with students. This is where she truly is exemplary.”

The district is proud of the excellent educational leadership provided to district students and thankful for Mrs. Bartell’s dedication and service to her students.

Mrs. Bartell will be recognized for her efforts at the IPA-DuPage Region Annual Breakfast this Spring.

Mrs. Bartell recently named the Junior Achievement Chicago-DuPage Board of Directors.
