Report: Gower spent $16,849 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Gower School District 62 is up 18.1 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $14,268 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $16,849 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 854 to 882.

Gower's spending in 2017-18 was 26.3 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
