CITY OF ELMHURST: The City of Elmhurst Commission On Youth Seeks Volunteer Nominees

City of Elmhurst issued the following announcement on Jan. 8.

The City of Elmhurst’s Commission on Youth is currently seeking nominees for its annual Exemplary Youth Service Awards, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 7:00 PM at Bryan Middle School. All volunteers, nominators, and their guests will be invited to the City of Elmhurst Exemplary Youth Service Awards ceremony and all nominated volunteers will be recognized as part of the program, which will be presented and honored by Mayor Morley.

There are some amazing kids doing wonderful service for others in Elmhurst. Please consider nominating an individual or group, elementary school through high school. For more information and to obtain the nomination forms, please visit http://www.elmhurst.org/1291/Exemplary-Youth-Service-Award.

The youth commission will coordinate the review and selection of Exemplary Youth Service Volunteers by a panel of independent judges from city officials. The nominations will be reviewed and scored by independent judges using a rubric that includes the criteria reflected in the application. Selection of exemplary volunteers is done via a blind review process. Nominations will be accepted until March 9, 2019. Questions email Jackie at youthcommission630@gmail.com.
