The Illinois House of Representatives adopted a resolution Nov. 29 congratulating Rep. Peter Breen (R-Lombard) for his work during his years serving his district.
Breen lost to Terra Costa Howard, a Democrat, in the 2018 general election.
House Resolution 1345 congratulated Breen for serving with "honor and distinction."
Breen assumed office in 2015. During his years in office, he served on the House Committees on Energy, Financial Institutions, Judicial-Civil, Labor and Commerce, Public Utilities, Restorative Justice, Consumer Protection, Economic Development, and Housing and Insurance, according to the resolution. He became House Republican floor leader in July 2017.
Breen also served on subcommittees that involved workers' compensation, tort liability law, real and personal property law and civil process.
" . . . we congratulate State Representative Peter Breen on making a positive difference in the lives of the people he represented in the 48th District, DuPage County, and across Illinois, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors . . ." the resolution states.
