Village of Bensenville issued the following announcement on July 19.
The Village’s Annual Holiday Magic Tree Lighting Ceremony is held in November each year. It is a wonderful time for our community to come together and celebrate the upcoming holiday season. The highlight of the event is the beautiful holiday tree, which is donated by our residents and displayed in Towne Center.
The Holiday Tree Donation Program allows residents to place mature evergreen trees located in the front yard of their property onto a waiting list for use in the holiday ceremony. If your tree is selected, you will be contacted by the Public Works Department. Public Works crews will cut the tree down and transport it to the Village Green prior to the ceremony. The tree stump is ground down and the site is restored with sod, all at no cost to the homeowner.
