Village of Itasca issued the following announcement on July 9.
The completion of Phase I of the Metra lot is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. The delay could last for several weeks. Parking will continue to be available on Schiller St and residential on-street parking is allowed with a reserve lot sticker.
Additional
parking is also available at the downtown lot west of 7-Eleven (Center Street entrance), Maple Street Lot South ofIrving Park Road and the daily lot on Irving Park Road South of the RR tracks. Phase I
parking will also be available on the south portion of the Metra lot. When Phase 2 begins parking will be available on the newly completed north
portion of the lot as well as the other areasstated above. There will be no
commuter parking allowed on Walnut or Orchard Streets in the downtown businessarea. Please remember to display your
reserve lot sticker. We are sorry about the inconvenience.
