Lisle Park District issued the following announcement on May 31.
This July and August, enjoy four free concerts in Lisle Community Park at the newly renovated Van Kampen Memorial Stage!
The Van Kampen Memorial Stage in Lisle Community Park has a completely new look this summer! Renovations are complete and include an enlarged performing area, seat wall, small soundboard dugout area in the hill, natural area enhancements, new dance lawn right in front of the stage that brings the crowd and performers together, and shoreline stabilization to the pond banks adjacent to the stage area.
The Lisle Park District is looking forward to highlighting this signature feature in Lisle Community Park, 1825 Short Street in Lisle, with a summer entertainment series including four free concerts on Wednesday nights starting July 18 through August 8 from 7:30-9:30pm. Bring your family, friends, lawn chairs, and blankets. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Parking will also be free of charge in the Lisle Senior High School, Sea Lion Aquatic Park, Community Center, and Recreation Center parking lots.
Below is a list of acts that will perform during the entertainment series with a brief description of their sound.
- July 18: Heartache Tonight, Eagles tribute band
- July 25: Mike Wheeler Band Chicago blues
- August 1: Hillbilly Rockstarz Country hits
- August 8: Common Allies, 70’s cover band – Come for the music and stay to help us celebrate all things local, featuring flavor and flair from businesses in the Greater Lisle community.
The Lisle Park District provides a variety of leisure activities for people of all ages throughout the year.
