Graduates earn 40 degrees from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary

About 87.5 percent of the 40 degrees and certificates handed out by the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2016-17 were to students in Theology and Religious Vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Lombard conferred 23 master's degrees and 12 doctor's degrees in Theology and Religious Vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in Divinity/Ministry. Data shows the school gave out 22 master's degrees in Divinity/Ministry, followed by 12 doctor's degrees in Pastoral Studies/Counseling and 5 master's degrees in Christian Studies.

The seminary enrolled 208 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in 208 programs.
