Report: Community Unit School District 201 spent $18,699 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Community Unit School District 201 is up 18 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $15,819 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $18,699 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1393 to 1350.

Community Unit School District 201's spending in 2016-17 was 44 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
