Analysis: Wood Dale pays $5.14 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wood Dale Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.8 percent of the $1,496,347 the Wood Dale Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.14 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wood Dale contributed $1,254,316 to the fund, which saw a $185,288 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $243,897, or 16.3 percent, in 2016.
