Analysis: Wayne pays $6.10 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wayne Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.9 percent of the $242,904 the Wayne Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.10 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wayne contributed $208,708 to the fund, which saw a $9,802 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $34,196, or 14.1 percent, in 2016.
