Analysis: Naperville pays $3.52 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Naperville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.4 percent of the $8,181,345 the Naperville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.52 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Naperville contributed $6,329,588 to the fund, which saw a $1,739,842 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $1,794,963, or 21.9 percent, in 2016. Another $56,794 came from other unspecified sources.
