Analysis: Carol Stream pays $2.58 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Carol Stream Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.3 percent of the $1,645,806 the Carol Stream Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.58 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Carol Stream contributed $1,172,985 to the fund, which saw a $68,754 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $454,480, or 27.6 percent, in 2016. Another $18,341 came from other unspecified sources.
