8. STAFF REPORTS

A. Staff Reports -- Commonwealth Edison Vegetation Management 2018-2022 Sidney Kenyon, Department of Transportations’ Senior Transportation Planner, provided a summary to the committee members regarding a few key points relative to Commonwealth Edison's Vegetation Management Plan for 2018 through 2022.

Mr. Kenyon also invited all committee members to the Long-Range Transportation Meeting that will be held at the Power Forward DuPage Facility in Warrenville this evening from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Vice Chair Krajewski asked that Mr. Kenyon keep County Board Member Elliot informed on Commonwealth Edison's Vegetation Management Plan as he is very interested in the plan. Mr. Kenyon informed that he would keep Member Elliot informed.

This is the first of four meetings is scheduled in relation to the Long-Range Transportation Plan within DuPage County.

9. PRESENTATIONS

A. Educational Partners - SCARCE DuPage County Projects

Beverly Jaszczurowski of SCARCE provided a Power Point Presentation to the committee members regarding food scrapping, Earth Flags and information regarding visual signage for recyceable items.

Member Krajewski inquired about how many municipalities have earned Earth Flags?

Ms. Jaszczurowski informed that Wheaton, Naperville, Glen Ellyn, and Addison all have several, however that may be a great question to ask Kay McKeen, as I am unaware of the amount of Flags that may have been earned within the different municipalities.

The presentation will be attached and made a part of these minutes.
