Per most qualified Proposal 17-142-LG

Member Zay inquired whether the Circuit Court Clerk's Office anticipates a decrease in technology costs moving forward. Mr. Kachiroubas spoke to the effect that with technology playing such a large role in today's workforce, a reduction in technology costs seem unlikely. Member Larson then commended the Circuit Court Clerk's Office for looking beyond "sole source" and putting new costs/expenses through the procurement bidding process.

9. Old Business Member Zay addressed the JPS committee at large to apologize for any of his comments that were offensive at the County Board meeting. He went on to further ask about court security, headcount, and personnel costs with regards to the Sheriff's Office and judicial staffing. After much discussion - between himself, Chief Kruse, Chairman Eckhoff, Member Larson, Member Healy, and Member Grasso - concerning the sworn deputy sheriffs' work schedules, union protocol, overall court administrative tasks, and the cost of personnel, it was decided that a Patrol Study would be provided by Chief Kruse to the board. Furthermore, Member DiCianni reminded the committee that some of the perimeters that are currently being dictated by judicial regulations are in arbitration. There should be some resolve regarding the Sheriff's Office hiring and judicial staff placement around February of 2018.
