The Bensenville Park District will bring the magic of the classic holiday story "The Polar Express" to life for children with train ride aboard the park district's Polar Express train ride on Dec. 10 and 16, the park district said in a release
On Bensenville’s version of the famed train ride to the North Pole, children can enjoy an engaging reading of "The Polar Express" and other fun activities, including playing holiday games and singing carols, the release said. Santa will make an appearance and spend time visiting with all the children. Each rider on will receive a special gift from St. Nick as a special keepsake of the train ride.
The train rides will run from 11:04 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, and from 11:04 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. and 3:04 to 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16. All train rides will begin at Bensenville’s Metra train station, and those attending should arrive at least 15 minutes before the departure time, according to the release.
