Girls' field hockey, adult and tot soccer starting soon in Glen Ellyn

A clinic for girls' field hockey will start in early February for the Glen Ellyn Park District, according to the district's website.

A clinic for girls ages 14-18 will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. each Friday Feb. 3-24 at various locations. The clinic is for high-school girls who have at least one season of experience in playing for a high-school team, although spots will be offered to eighth-graders is openings remain once the clinic begins.

Cost to participate is $75.

Also in February, adult and tot soccer will start Feb. 24 and run at 10:45 a.m. every Friday through April 21 at the Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center. Kids ages 2 to 3 years and 11 months can play soccer alongside an adult while learning about the sport. Fees are $58 for residents and $88 for nonresidents.
