Head Coach William Fajkus of the College of DuPage women's soccer program, along with two players, recently received honors for the 2016 season, according to the school's website.
Sophomore defender Antoinette Zaffino and freshman defender Marcela Calderon were each voted onto the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III All-American Second Team.
According to www.njcaa.org, Zaffino recorded eight goals in 21 games this season, with her three game-winning goals ranking 24th in the NJCAA's Division III. Calderon had two goals as well as seven assists in 24 games.
Fajkus was named the NSCAA's Central Region Coach of the Year for Division III. Under Fajkus this season, the Chaparrals went 17-5-4 and won the program's fifth Region IV title in a row.
College of DuPage placed second for Division III in shutouts, with 12; fifth for shots on goal, with 255; and ninth in goals scored, with 65.
