The Geneva Cultural Arts Commission met Sept. 1 to review financial reports.

September 1, 2016

Commission Members Present: Mary Ann Diggory, Kent Gallagher, Carolyn Hill, Doug Holzrichter , Alexia Monaco, Jan Schmuckal, Dana Teichart, Trish Tkach and Tim Vetang

Also in Attendance: Jamie Heflin, City of Geneva

1. Call to Order:

Mr. Vetang called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.

2. Amendments to Agenda

Will stand as presented.

3. Approve Minutes – August 4, 2016

Motion to approve the August 4, 2016 minutes was made by Ms. Hill and seconded by Ms. Schmuckal.

Motion passed.

4. Review Financial Reports & Procedures - August 2016

Financials were reviewed and accepted.

Reviewed new reporting system

5. Reports

a. EYAO! Alexia/Trish

Invitations have been mailed

Posters are up in various locations

Tickets are available for purchase

b. Report on Sculpture Park – Jan

Ms. Schmuckal reported that:

c. Foundation Update – Kent

No Report

d. Business Plan – Doug

The Business Plan is finished and will be reviewed by the Commission at the October meeting.

e. Commissioner Comments & Events

Mr. Vetang shared a brochure of Barrington’s White House events for the fall season

Ms. Tkach shared a brochure of the 2016 Oak Park Sculpture Walk

Ms. Diggory shared photos of sculptures in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Ms. Hill shared an article about State Street Dance wanting to branch out and collaborate with local studios

6. PUBLIC COMMENTS

No Report

8. Adjourn

Motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Holzrichter and seconded by Ms. Schmuckal at 8:26pm.
