St. Charles Government Services Committee works through full agenda at recent meeting

The City of St. Charles, Illinois Government Services Committee (GSC) worked through an extensive agenda during its regular meeting on March 28.

The docket included updates on the city’s electric reliability, tree commission and the Active River Project.

There were also presentations on several ongoing projects managed by the Public Works Department, Police Department and Fire Department. These included a recommendation to award a contract for the Phosphorus Removal Project and to approve the Tri-City Ambulance Association budget

There was also a special executive session covering personnel matters, pending litigation issues and proposed property acquisition.

The city of St. Charles Government Services Committee is a committee of the whole and includes all members of the city council. The committee discusses all issues of concern to the city, including police, fire, emergency services, permits, sewer and water, utilities and all city infrastructure. The GSC meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month in the council chambers of the municipal center.
