Oak Brook Village Board discusses landscaping contract, more at March 22 meeting

The Village of Oak Brook Board of Trustees approved current accounts payable and reviewed a number of ordinances and resolutions at its regular meeting March 22 in the Samuel Dean Board Room at the Butler Government Center.

The current accounts payable totaled $6,666.66. Additional legal bills for the period totaled $8,295.75. The village’s total legal budget for 2016 is $449,000. To date, legal expenditures have totaled $34,061.35.

The board also discussed several resolutions, including one to enter a contract for landscaping maintenance with Classic Landscape Ltd. and one to approve the waiver of competitive bidding for street sweeping services in order to enter directly into a contract with Hoving Companies.

The trustees also reviewed an update on the actuarial studies for the Oak Brook Police and Firefighters’ Pension Fund.
