The updated St. Charles Strategic Plan will be presented to the City Council for final approval during Monday's council meeting at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, 2 E. Main St.

Once approved, the process will move to the next step – creating an action plan to implement the objectives.

The Strategic Plan identifies goals and priorities for the future of St. Charles, and several stakeholders have been working diligently to collect and assimilate data and suggestions for the plan. The new version was approved by the Government Operations Committee at a recent meeting.

“We would like to thank all who volunteered their time to be a part of the city’s strategic planning process,” Mark Koenen, St. Charles' city administrator, said. “We received useful feedback from a variety of individuals regarding the city’s past performance and potential future initiatives. We appreciate the time and effort of all who participated in the strategic planning events to help shape our community’s future.”
