Warrenville leaders will host their second public meeting to collect input and share information regarding the city’s Southwest District Planning Initiative at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, at Warrenville City Hall, 28W701 Stafford Place.
The gathering will allow designers of the initiative to collect and review stakeholder input on the transportation, urban-design and environmental aspects of the future development of Warrenville’s Southwest District.
The Southwest District of Warrenville is defined as the roughly 300 acres of land surrounding the Route 59 and Route 56 intersection and along the adjacent sections of Route 59, Route 56, and Ferry Road. Warrenville’s team of consultants, led by Teska Associates, will present its draft plan for proposed uses for the land and will solicit feedback and input from the public.
The initiative was introduced five months ago, but is proceeding rapidly after City Council gave it priority status.
Warrenville officials continue to encourage residents, business owners and other stakeholders to remain engaged in the initiative and to participate in the planning process. All interested individuals are invited to attend the public information meeting. Comments, questions or feedback should be forwarded to the Community Development Department via e-mail to nataliad@warrenville.il.us or by calling 630-393-9050.
