The St. Charles Tree Commission will meet at  7 p.m. on Thursday in the City Hall Council Committee Room, 2 E. Main St.

After roll call and approval of minutes, the meeting agenda includes a discussion of previous action items, including the Urban Forestry Management Plan and the reorganization of the commission into the Natural Resources Committee.

The commission also will receive a status report on tree-trimming and fall-planting projects; hear updates from the Education, Publicity and Arbor Day Committees; and receive a Tree Activity Report from the Electric and Public Services Division for the months of September and October.

St. Charles was named the No. 1 City for Families by Family Circle magazine in 2011, one of the "150 Great Places in Illinois" by the American Institute of Architects Illinois and one of the "Top 10 Towns To Live In" by West Suburban Living Magazine.
