Westmont, Illinois, Mayor Ron Gunter recently announced the next “Coffee with the Mayor” events, which will be held on Feb. 21 at Citrus Restaurant and March 28 at Golden Basket Restaurant.
“We encourage everyone to come out and join us for a cup of coffee and good conversation,” Gunter said. “We want to hear from the community as well as have a chance to let people know what we’re working on.”
Gunter and his staff will be at Citrus, located at 844 Ogden Ave. in the St. James Crossing Shopping Center, on Feb. 21 at 8:30 a.m. Coffee with the Mayor will also be held on March 28 at Golden Basket Restaurant at 2 W. Naperville Rd. in Downtown Westmont beginning at noon.
“In addition to connecting with the community, another one of the goals of these events is to introduce residents and potential new customers to our wonderful Westmont businesses,” Gunter said. “We always encourage people to keep Westmont First and Shop Westmont. We hope to see you there.”
Gunter, in addition to serving as mayor of Westmont, is also the liquor commissioner for the Village of Westmont and has served as the Westmont Park District Director since May 1977. He is also a 30 year member of the Westmont Lions Club and a member of the Westmont Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus.
