Students and young adults aged 16 to 21 will have the opportunity to attend a free Summer Youth Job Fair in Bloomingdale, organized by State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park). The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, at the Bloomingdale Park District.

In addition to the job fair, an online Pre-Job Fair prep session will be held on Wednesday, March 4. This session aims to provide guidance on resume writing, professional attire, communication with employers, and other essential tips for job and internship seekers. Registration for the prep session can be completed through this link.

“As summer approaches, high school and college students are looking for opportunities to gain experience and build practical skills,” said Lewis. “This job fair connects young people with employers who can offer hands-on learning, helping students grow in confidence while strengthening their résumés and preparing for future careers.”

The job fair will feature more than 40 businesses from the area that are actively seeking candidates for summer positions, year-round jobs, and internships. Employers at the event will have a chance to meet potential applicants directly and network with other local businesses.

“Attendees are encouraged to come dressed professionally and ready to interview on-site,” added Lewis. “This event brings together motivated job seekers and local employers, helping young people launch their careers while giving businesses access to homegrown talent for in-demand roles and other open positions.”

A limited number of booths remain available for businesses interested in participating. For more information or booth reservations, contact Abby at [email protected] or call Senator Lewis’ legislative office at (630) 349-0645.

Lewis was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois' 24th Senate District in 2023, succeeding Suzy Glowiak.
