Saturday, Feb. 8: Downers Grove South High School standout Gino Cozzi’s college team loses to Tampa Spartans

On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Downers Grove South High School standout Gino Cozzi’s current college team, the Montevallo Falcons, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Tampa Spartans.

The game took place at Kermit A. Johnson Field at Bob Riesener Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Spartans this season.

The Falcons’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9 at 12 p.m. at Kermit A. Johnson Field at Bob Riesener Stadium against Tampa Spartans.
