Saturday, Feb. 8: Downers Grove North High School standout Ava Gusel’s college team wins to Valparaiso Beacons

On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Downers Grove North High School standout Ava Gusel’s current college team, the DePaul Blue Demons, won 2-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Valparaiso Beacons.

The game took place at The Dome at Parkway Bank Sports Complex. This was their first matchup against the Beacons this season.

The Blue Demons’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9 at 11:30 a.m. at The Dome at Parkway Bank Sports Complex against Green Bay Phoenix.
