There were 33 Black students enrolled in Salt Creek School District 48 in the 2024-25 school year, 13.2% fewer than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Salt Creek School District 48 welcomed 485 students during the 2024-25 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 6.8% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the district.

Among the three schools in Salt Creek School District 48, John E. Albright Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2024-25 school year, with a total of 16 students.
