Report: Gower School District spent $15,557 per student in 2019-20
Spending per pupil at Gower School District 62 was down 7.9 percent from five years ago, according to the DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.
The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $16,885 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,557 in 2019-20.
The district's enrollment rose from 865 to 869 students over the same period.
Gower's spending in 2019-20 was 7.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
