Q2 2019 Recap: Parolees in Aurora convicted of crimes against persons
There were seven offenders convicted of crimes against persons released on parole in Aurora during the second quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that six men and one woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 36. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced in 2019, and the oldest was a 49-year-old man sentenced in 2019.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Ryan Carter. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2017 when he was 46 years old. He is now 49.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
