Q1 2018 parolees recap: who was paroled in Oak Brook?
There were two offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Oak Brook zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that a man and woman were released in Oak Brook. The younger parolee is a 54-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving alcohol in 2016, and the other is a 71-year-old woman sentenced for property crimes in 2015.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Patricia Lipinski. She was convicted of property crimes in 2015 when she was 67 years old. She is now 71.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
