The campaign committee Palka for Sheriff 2014 owes a $600 fine imposed on July 22, 2014 with Ted Palka listed as the responsible officer, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show 172 area campaign committees owe a combined total of $995,091 in pending fines.
