On Sunday, Feb. 23, former Downers Grove South High School standout Richie Sperando’s college team won in an NCAA Division III baseball game

On Sunday, Feb. 23, former Downers Grove South High School standout Richie Sperando’s current college team, the Concordia Chicago Cougars, won 9-8 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the North Park Vikings.

The game took place at Center Grove High School. This was their first matchup against the Vikings this season.

The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex against Grove City Wolverines.
