On July 16, three African American residents of Will County had their COVID-19 test return positive, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,181 African American residents have tested positive for COVID-19, constituting 15 percent of the positive cases in Will County.
