Mackenzie Sowonik, former Wheaton Warrenville South High School standout’s collegiate team plays on Friday, May 16 in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship

On Friday, May 16, former Wheaton Warrenville South High School standout Mackenzie Sowonik’s current collegiate team the Christopher Newport Captains won 8-3 against the Alfred Saxons in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Captains Park at 4:15 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Alfred Saxons in the tournament.

The Christopher Newport Captains’ next game will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at Captains Park.
