July-Dec. 2019 Recap: Parolees in Naperville convicted of property crimes
There were two offenders convicted of property crimes released on parole in Naperville during the second half of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that both of the released offenders in Naperville were men. The younger parolee was a 29-year-old man sentenced in 2013. The other was a 30-year-old man sentenced in 2016.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Juwan R. Franklin. He was convicted of a property crime in 2013 when he was 22 years old. He is now 29.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
