Itasca to celebrate 125th anniversary Aug. 30

Itasca's 125th Celebration is on the books for Aug. 30. and will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Itaska Historical Depot Museum.
The celebration will include giveaways, roving musicians, popcorn and cotton candy, along with a train ride, anniversary cupcakes and face painters for children.
Also, local historian Jerry Danzer will give two presentations at the Itasca Community Library beginning at 12:30 p.m.
There will be free admission to the Itasca Waterpark for Itasca and Itasca Park District residents.
Water and soda will be a dollar, with proceeds going to the historical society.
There will also be raffle prizes every 30 minutes; prizes are limited to one per family.
