Glenbard North teacher Grigoletto calls student vulgar word for not wearing mask

By DuPage Policy Journal

Glenbard North band teacher Scott Grigoletto was caught on video calling a student a vulgar word for not wearing a mask.

Grigoletto also threatened to “call the police” because the student was not wearing his mask and told him he would be receiving an in-school suspension.

“That is in school suspension where you have to sit in a room with a military guy all day because you are [expletive],” Grigoletto said in the video.

Grigoletto was obviously agitated during the exchange in which he clashed with a student he told only moments earlier to pull his mask up.

The student appears to be standing close to a friend who had the video function engaged on a cell phone as the teacher raged.

A fellow student who appears to have inadvertently recorded the confrontation is reportedly being disciplined after it was first posted to TikTok and later other media channels.

See a transcript of the confrontation below:

Student: Are you playing? Are you playing?

Grigoletto: No I’m not! Otherwise I will call the police. I’m serious!

Student: So you’re serious?

Grigoletto: I am serious man. I’ve had enough of it. I knew you were going to take off your mask as soon as I turned the corner. So enjoy DIA.

Student: What is that?

Grigoletto: That is in school suspension where you have to sit in a room with a military guy all day because you are [expletive].
