Friends for Michelle Baert owes $375 in fines

The campaign committee Friends for Michelle Baert owes a $250 fine imposed on Sept. 2, 2016, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $125 with Tom Stapka listed as the responsible officer.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show 172 area campaign committees owe a combined total of $995,091 in pending fines.
