Former Downers Grove North standout Jude Warwick played as Lakeland beat Palm Beach 7-5 on July 4

On Saturday, July 4, at 5 p.m., Jude Warwick’s current team, the Lakeland Flying Tigers, defeated the Palm Beach Cardinals 7-5 in an MiLB game. Warwick is a former Downers Grove North High School standout.

The game was played at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. This was the 11th meeting between the teams this season, with the Flying Tigers trailing 4-7 in the season series against the Cardinals.

Warwick went hitless in five at-bats, struck out twice and left seven runners on base.

The Flying Tigers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, July 5, at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium against the Lakeland Flying Tigers.
