Ella Cushing, former Downers Grove South High School standout, played on Saturday, Feb. 22 in NCAA Division I softball game

On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Downers Grove South High School standout Ella Cushing’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 4-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Central Michigan Chippewas.

The game took place at Dail Softball Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Chippewas this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 12:30 p.m. at Dail Softball Stadium against North Carolina State Wolfpack.
