Downers Grove South High School standout Ella Cushing’s college team won in NCAA Division I softball game on Wednesday, April 23

On Wednesday, April 23, former Downers Grove South High School standout Ella Cushing’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 9-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Northern Illinois Huskies.

The game took place at Eichelberger Field. This was their first matchup against the Huskies this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. at Rutgers Softball Complex against Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
